It is an integral part of training for new hires as well as seasoned veterans. Hard Rock has an exemplary safety record and one the lowest rates of injury and claims of any major construction company in the Gulf South.

Hard Rock prides itself on being a champion of safety with daily job site inspections. If a safety issue arises, it is dealt with swiftly, right on the job site. In addition, frequent safety meetings are held for mechanics, heavy equipment operators, and supervisors. Strict DOTD compliance for Hard Rock truck drivers is also enforced. Accident Prevention Plans are updated frequently and the safety of citizens as well as work crews is of utmost concern on job sites. Extreme working conditions and changes in traffic flow are managed with caution and care utilizing the appropriate signage and barricades. From proper lifting procedures by employees to preventing property damage, every possible safety goal is strived for on a daily basis.

Above and Beyond

When necessary, Hard Rock will go door-to-door in residential neighbors to solicit input on safety and convenience issues before and during major construction to minimize the potential for safety concerns and inconvenience to neighborhoods. Hard Rock responds immediately and addresses any and all complaints, working quickly to resolve them. Hard Rock believes that it takes more than just skill to do the job, it also takes communication. And that’s why Hard Rock works diligently to keep the flow of communication open with government officials and its citizens.

Hard Rock Construction is firmly committed to the prevention of injuries and occupational illnesses among its employees and the public. No task will be undertaken that we do not anticipate can be completed safely and in compliance with the Company’s Safety rules and procedures.

Hard Rock Construction will:

• Endeavor to comply with all applicable safety and environmental rules promulgated by local, state and federal agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Vigorously enforce internal safety rules. Employees who fail to abide by the safety rules will be considered in violation of this policy and may face disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
• Endeavor to assure that all tools, equipment, and facilities are maintained in a safe condition, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Endeavor to assure that our work force has and maintains the proper job related skills and that safety training is provided to and attended by our work force.
• Encourage each employee to be responsible and accountable for his or her compliance with our safety standards and to report any actual or perceived unsafe condition that is observed, both in facilities and in work procedures.
• Assure that our supervisors are responsible for job assignments, planning, and supervision that provides for the continued implementation of our safety policy.
