Port of New Orleans, Mississippi River Intermodal Terminal
|
This $13.6 million improvement project is innovation at its best…and is helping to launch the Port of New Orleans into the 21st Century with a whole new realm of shipping possibilities. This breakthrough project encompasses 25,000 square yards of 18 inch paving and five new rails to allow cargo to be quickly offloaded from ships right onto railcars to their end destination. Modeled after similar Intermodal terminals in Houston and Miami, the port will now have the capability of a 12-hour turn around in getting cargo to cities like Chicago and St. Louis. Hard Rock is proud to be part of this vital upgrade to the Port of New Orleans.

Historic Bourbon Street
|
There’s hardly a more famous street in America … right in the heart of the French Quarter- Bourbon Street has it’s own unique beat! But that doesn’t mean it can’t get beat down, and after 31 years of wear and tear on its sidewalks…the City of New Orleans called on Hard Rock to restore the historic brick sidewalks where millions have trod. It was the first such overhaul since the 1984 World’s Fair. It was a tough job battling constant deliveries and tourists- but Hard Rock was able to restore eight blocks of the bustling foot-paths in near record time…just in time for the 2015 Sugar Bowl and Mardi Gras!

Julia & Iberville Streets White Topping

Hard Rock's work on these two major arteries for the City of New Orleans has been heralded as a unique alternative to asphalt. This first-of-its kind concrete white topping project is essentially an overlay that will deliver more longevity and durability to these highly traveled streets. As part of the city’s infrastructure improvement program, the work included white topping of Julia St. from Convention Center Blvd to Loyola and Iberville from N. Rampart to N. Peters.
Completed in March of 2015 - the project is receiving accolades from surrounding municipalities and the DOTD! |

City of Baton Rouge
|
Hard Rock has maintained a competitive position within the construction industry in the Baton Rouge area since 2003. In march 2009, Hard Rock received and continues to receive accolades for the quality of its performance at the intersection of Sherwood Forest and Coursey Blvd., one of the busiest intersections in the capital city with motorists accessing I-10, I-12 and Airline Highway. The $7 million project included 27,000sy of concrete pavement installation, base course, concrete driveways, and traffic signalization and was completed in an unprecedented 156 calendar days. Immediately following the completion of work at Coursey/Sherwood Forest, Hard Rock moved crews to Foster Drive at Government Street and undertook the monumental task of reconstructing the intersection with newly paved concrete roadway, widening, sidewalks, driveways, drainage, traffic signalization and asphalt overlay. Again, this project was concluded in a remarkable 70 calendar days! The $2.9 million project was performed during the summer of 2009 with daily temperatures at an average of 103. Hard Rock consistently exceeds industry standards and has earned the reputation of providing the Baton Rouge Community with nothing short of excellence.

City of New Orleans
|
In January of 2010, Hard Rock undertook the extensive rehabilitation of one of New Orleans most beloved and busy roadways-Carrollton Avenue. The $7 million dollar project included street rehabilitation, resurfacing, new curbing and sidewalks, and the installation of 300 handicap ramps from Interstate 10 to St. Charles Avenue. This required a great deal of interaction with the community, home and business owners. Hard Rock worked diligently to lessen the impact of the construction on this vibrant neighborhood. The project was completed in an unprecedented number of days and set a new standard for quality work in the city of New Orleans.
